H2O

Image
Drinking water daily is very vital as to being an healthy human being. The adult human body consist of 45-60% of H2O. With water taking up half of our body it is important to intake 8 glasses a day, equally up to half a gallon (64 fl oz).  Though, water and  sugar is in almost everything, drinking water itself is what matters most. Some may spike their drinking water with lemons, or other sorts of fruits and flavors offering more nutrition, which is fine.  Above is the water treatment process. In a very broad sense the process of cleaning water and removing any sorts of harmful materials from the water.  First, the water is brought in. Next, chemicals are added to the water to help cleanse. It is mixed and then sent to coagulation and flocculation, a process of separating solids from water. Sedimentation occurs, a process to remove solids from water. After that, the water is filtrated, disinfected, stored and distributed to homes. Some household water i...

https://www.thecpcf.org/events.html           Crown Point Community Foundation is a non-profit foundation made in 1989, organized to come to the aid of community members who're in need. Serving as a charity to  enhance the quality of life in South Lake County. Their mission is to provide finance assistance, maximize charitable gifts, utilize current tax law, and direct resources to meet donors' specific needs.       With fundraisers, giveaways, and events, the organization has been able to give out grants and scholarships to children and adults to help finish their college education. Also, through private funding, donations, and stocks the organization is able to do a lot more help like this in the town.      By bringing smiles to faces and trying to  enrich someone's way of living this organization has gone very successful, while receiving no profit. But while they do all this satisfactory for the community, the...

A Guide To My Waves

Image
1. Get a chop!  To start your wave journey get a really short haircut. 2. Brush and comb your hair Brush your hair in the pattern that you desire, whether that's 360's, beehive, or 720's. It is important to train your hairs to the direction that you would like them to lay. Make sure to use wave brushes, the higher the quality the easier the journey. Using a comb is also very essential during the process to help distribute the hairs as you lay them down to deepen waves. 3. Wear a Durag Wear a durag to help keep your hair laid. I wear my durag most of the day and every night when I sleep. 4. Wash and style Do a wash and style occasionally to help further the process. To do this I usually start with washing my hair by combing shampoo and conditoner through my hair (also in the direction I train my hair). Then brush and afterwards rag up. 5. Keep your hair hydrated Use oils and natural products to keep give your hair a shine and keep it healthy.  6. Wolf Sometimes it is helpful...

Paco

Image
Dogs are not my favorite animal. I don’t like hearing them bark and I despise all the fur remnants. Dogs are somewhat annoying and needy to me as well. Somehow, I have grown to like my girlfriends dog. Although, he has all of these qualities I dislike in an animal, he also has qualities that I deem bearable.      His name is Paco and he is a chihuahua terrier-mix. The lifespan of this breed is 12-20 years. They are usually energetic dogs and love to spend their time being active. This breed does not get along well with children, which I can secondhandedly agree. Chihuahua terriers can tend to be stubborn and hard to train, but my girlfriend has somehow managed to train him pretty well. Being able to understand your dog goes a long way when training  60+ minutes daily is beneficial to having a healthy pup.        Paco is very annoying, but he is also sweet. He loves being around us and once warmed up can be very lov...

Anti-Crime

Crime is an action or breach of violence which constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and punishable by the law.     Crime is very big today as violence spread everywhere. There's mass shootings (in schools), robberies, killings, suicide, drug abuse, and etc. as this list can go on forever. As stated before, violence is everywhere. People claim to think that they can move to a "quiet" town where everything's peachy, and its okay to leave your front door open... Until, something unfortunate happens, and soon as you think you've escaped the wreckage from your "old" town, violence has crept, and took place in your "new" and "quiet" town. Crime is nothing good. As today's age and social media make it seem so less of its importance and role/affect in/on today's society. https://247wallst.com/city/crime-in-hammond-indiana/      What 247 WallSt displays on their webpage is only a mic...

LOVE Pt.1

🤍     The definition of the word "love" is "a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person". Love is much bigger than titles, it's even bigger than you. Love is something a lot of people lack now  days and hate to show. Love is something one may feel like they've never received, but that is the point, because love is blind...     The older I get in life, the more I start to appreciate the little things. In college things can get really hard and unbearable, but when you have professors like Kyburz and Parker that shows love, it may make your load seem like a lot less. A professor who doesn’t show love, puts the class on their back, and expect everyone to fall in line, is one who can make a class way more complex than it must be.       Love has no shape, form, or fashion. Love is always genuine and from the heart. Someone who is loved everyday is someone whose in a happy place. Love is also motivation. If we all ...
