Personal Sanctuary
Recently, I’ve asked my little sister why she spends so much time in her bedroom. There’s a million places in our home to unwind and she’d rather be in her room majority of the time. She began to explain that’s it’s more of a haven for her than a bedroom.
When looking at my bedroom in a different perspective, I quickly realized our rooms are our sanctuaries. There shouldn’t be a limit to what you invest in your bedroom (not even on time) because not only does it reflect who you are, it reflects how you feel.
Being in a space you created yourself gives you peace, even solitude. After a long day of stressful tasks or feeling overstimulated, your room is the only calming technique you need, besides yourself, because you are your own energy.
